As part of my graduation research, I attended an apprenticeship at the cultural organization La Foce in Bosa, Sardinia. For a two-week period, I got a chance to experience both theory and practice of the age-old technique. Author and researcher Claudia Bellini taught me about the meaning of the symbolism and the history of the technique while the artisans of la Foce instructed me how to knot the net to later decorate it with the characteristic symbols.
