About
Chiron Floris is a textile artist and workshop facilitator active in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Her practice centres around textiles as a way to explore repair, material knowledge, and making by hand. Working with techniques such as embroidery, lace-making, and garment construction, she creates textile pieces and costumes, both autonomously and on commission. Alongside her artistic work, she develops and leads workshops focused on repair, reuse, and textile craftsmanship.
Her aim is to explore how traditional crafts and materials
can exist within contemporary applications, contributing positively to sustainability
in fashion while maintaining their strength as carriers of community and cultural
knowledge.
